माँ-मौम-अम्मी।(Ma-Mom-Ammi){Munawwar Rana’s couplet}

Each day we breath is because of our mothers and hence everyday is a Mothers Day. It’s good to dedicate a whole day to her name,call her ma,mother,amma,biji,mom,ammi,aaye or anything else her love remain the same for her children. Munawwar Rana is an urdu poet whose most shers(couplet) are dedicated to mother or daughter. Here I am posting some of his shers with english translation by me.
    Whenever my boat in inundation comes,
    Mother for me praying in dreams comes.

   It is such a debt which I can never ever pay,
   My mother remains in prostration until I get back home.

   I desire to become an angel again,
   Cling to mother in a way to become a child again.

   My eyes spills when I think about you,
   If I don’t think about you than I become alone.
